Lothian is the beautiful Scottish region that lies between the Firth of Forth and the Lammermuir Hills. It comprises of West Lothian, Mid Lothian and East Lothian and the city of Edinburgh. If you really need to get away from the bustle of the city you can head to East, West or Midlothian for some time out. The East Lothian region is an area of rolling hills, secluded beaches and ancient ruins. Star Trek fans can even visit the James Doohan Memorial Exhibition at the Annet House Museum in Linlithgow, which tells the life story of the actor who played Scotty in the popular TV series.
